The early Film industry was in the hands of few because they had resources like cameras,mixers, lights and the studios including the relevant training.They had money.The monopoly took another turn as they had their own agenda. The Blacks were trained by the different film companies and resulted to the new monopoly as they had their own agenda and auditions were created.There was no formal creative way of selecting the characters. The characters were just told only the best will be taken.Actually,it was according to the taste of those who were auditioning and other "hidden expectations" That's why you see the same people on the screen because they ,"understand" the producers.
